Internships / Co-ops / EIP

The Engineering Career Center has a variety of internship / co-op opportunities through partnerships with companies and organizations in a wide range of fields. For students, internships / co-ops offer valuable hands-on experience and an opportunity to see first-hand how college classes apply to work in the field. For industry, internships /co-ops offer well-prepared and motivated talent, and a way to get to know students early in their educational experience or fill seasonal or peak needs.

For students:

The Engineering Career Center offers multiple resources to explore and discover internships / co-ops. Our Professional Advisors and Peer Career Coaches are experienced and trained in assisting you in your search for the right opportunity. For industry:

We offer numerous ways for employers to engage with students throughout their educational experience. From traditional for-credit or not for credit internships to longer co-ops and direct hire programs, there are opportunities for companies of any size to get involved.

Of special note is our full-service Engineering Internship Program (EIP). The EIP is a corporate-sponsored program for master’s, doctoral and some junior and senior bachelor’s degree students to work with leading edge companies. The program hires students as ASU student employees, and they are placed as interns in the companies. The EIP has specific GPA and time regulations for prospective interns.
